Stripe Marlin - Wanganella Banks
The undisputed champ of stripe marlin destinations is with out a doubt, the Wanganella banks. No other place in the world offers such a consistent bite of XOS stripe marlin, with up to 40 bites a day on fish between 250 and 350lbs with the occasional 400lber showing up!
The series of banks that make up the wanganella are situated just south of Norfolk Is and 300nm from New Zealand. The Ultimate Lady is the only vessel permitted to charter fish the area and makes trips to the area in March and April.
The area is also known for its sword fish and Bass(wreck fish or blue eye), so there is plenty of the best table fish to be enjoyed.

The Ultimate lady now offers 6 to 9 day fishing adventures to the wanganella banks, departing Norfolk island.
A typical fishing trip departing Norfolk is 6 days in duration. Once you have arrived at Norfolk island, you will be transfered down to the boat and the first day is spent catching bait and fishing south over nurmerous sea mounts and rydge systems. In the evening, the Ultimate Lady deploys a "sea anchor" which keeps the vessel's bow into the wind and you in a comfy state of sleep. The following day will see the arrival at the wanganella with the day filled with action from the time you wake until the time the sun goes down...and then some! Once the fishing is over for the day, drinks and a delicious meal is served and you either have the choice of an early night of perhaps try for a broadbill sword fish*. Ultimate lady's 10 meter beam offers unparalleled stability and comfort.
Imagine catching 20, 300lb stripe marlin in a single day! The wanganella banks is the only place in the world where you can acheive this feat.
