Blue Marlin - South East Queensland

From January through April, blue marlin turn up on the coast of South East Queensland, from Frazer island to the Gold coast. Fishing can be red hot with up to 14 shots a day on blue marlin between 200 and 600lbs. Ultimate Lady departs from either the sunshine coast or the Gold coast and can either return to port each day or take advantage of our stability and comfort and stay out on the grounds, putting you right where the fish are the next morning. For the real adventure, long range opportunities are also available, with Frazer island and Cato reef in the north and to numerous sea mounts wide off Brisbane, holding tuna, marlin and sword fish.

Flights are available directly into Coolangata on the Gold coast or Brisbane, where a pick up can be arranged to drive the 50minutes to the sunshine coast. It shouldn’t be all about the fishing either! Both the sunshine and Gold coast offer plenty of onshore activities with golf courses, shopping and great night life.
